Microdeposits help verify your bank account if you do not connect through online banking. You may need to use microdeposits when adding or updating your direct deposit payout method.
What is a microdeposit?
A microdeposit is a small deposit used to verify your bank account.
To verify your bank account with a microdeposit, you’ll need:
- Your bank routing number
- Your bank account number
- Access to your bank transactions
How microdeposit verification works
To complete microdeposit verification:
- Enter your account and routing numbers in the app.
- Wait up to 24 hours for a $0.01 microdeposit to appear in your bank account.
- Find the 3-letter code connected to the transaction on your bank statement.
- Enter that code in Payout Manager to add your payout method.
Changes to your payout method may take up to 24 hours to appear in your dashboard.
How to reset microdeposits
If you did not receive your microdeposit or entered the wrong bank information, you’ll need to reset the process before trying again.
To reset microdeposits:
- Open your fundraiser in the Double Good app.
- Tap Payout Manager.
- Select Enter Micro-Deposit Amounts.
- Enter a random 3-letter code.
- Repeat this twice to remove the linked account.
- Tap Try Again when prompted.
You can then enter the correct payout information and request a new microdeposit.
How to remove your payout method
You can remove your current payout method before, during, or shortly after your fundraiser ends.
To remove a payout method:
- Open the fundraiser that needs a payout change.
- Tap the blue Payout Manager link.
- Select your existing payout method.
- Tap the trash can icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Confirm by selecting Yes, remove.
Your previous payout method will be removed, and you can add new information.
Making payout changes long after your fundraiser ends may delay your funds.
