Setting up your payout method is required before fundraiser earnings can be sent. To protect those earnings, organizers need to verify their identity first. Personal fundraisers also require tax information as part of payout setup.
Why identity verification is required
Double Good requires organizers to verify their identity before adding a payout method. This helps protect fundraiser earnings and makes sure funds are sent safely to the correct person or authorized organization.
Identity verification also helps prevent fraud and confirm organizer control over fundraiser earnings.
How to verify your identity
To verify your identity:
- Open the Double Good app.
- Tap your fundraiser from the home screen.
- Under Event Earnings, tap Get Started.
- Select Verify your identity.
- Tap Continue, then Start.
- Follow the prompts to take a selfie and a photo of your ID.
Make sure the text on your ID is clear and your face is fully visible. This helps avoid delays in verification.
Entering tax information
For personal fundraisers, tax information is required as part of payout setup.
To enter your tax information:
- Go to Payout Manager in the app.
- Select the option to enter tax information.
- Enter your Social Security number when prompted.
Double Good is unable to accept an ITIN as a substitute for a Social Security number.
Your tax information is securely stored to help meet tax requirements and prevent fraud. Tax information must be entered for each personal fundraiser you organize.
Adding your payout method
After identity verification is complete, you can choose how you want to receive your fundraiser earnings.
To add a payout method:
- Open your fundraiser in the Double Good app.
- Tap Payout Manager.
- Choose your preferred payout method:
- Direct Deposit: Connect your bank account securely through Plaid for the fastest payout.
- Check: Enter a valid mailing address to receive a physical check by USPS.
- Confirm your details.
- Tap Save.
Once your payout method is added, your payout status will update to Ready. Funds will be sent automatically after your fundraiser ends.
